Hahahahahaha! Soo I was checking the explora settings of my dstv explora and I noticed a section that had IP, DNS and other Internet settings.

Then I remembered storied of guys that confessed to have used free to air strong TV satellite to tap free internet.

What really can anyone deduce here, well for the none techy guys, this means all satellite dishes are either recieving or sending. In the IT world the perpetual sender most times is a server while the receiver is well a user. But the important thing to note is they are all in are network.

With this deduction it is safe to assume that there is a satellite dish in your house somewhere could be MY TV or dstv or star times but they are all satellites with dstv having the most patronage in the average nigerian families home.

Let's say dstv was rouge and decided to put cameras in every decoding device, do you know that being on their network they can view everybody's household with or without you subscribing because they are connected to you all the time but you as a user are managed by a billing system. And that's why you still have access to channel 100 THE DSTV OR GOTV INFO CHANNEL because they have access to you or that is your proof of an open channel.

That's just a cool whatever, dstv decoders are made somewhere right! Dstv doesn't necessarily have to make the decoders, what If dstv was innocent but the makers weren't,  or what if someone knows and turned a blind eye to it. I mean this is! Nigeria isn't! 

Soo the next time you and your family are sitting down in front of a satellite decoder which is usually in the parlour or bedroom, as yourself! WHO IS WATCHING WHO?

MTN vs Glo: The struggle for the average Nigerians N2500

So i was taking a drive and remember seeing a Glo billboard that my mind quickly highlight the numbers N2500 and 4.5GB. This was a figure i was most familiar with except i had some trouble relating the green colour to the yellow colour of MTN's offering in my mind. Soo i did a little digging and heres what i can say soo far.

For years and years we have patronized MTN for their 3GB nite plan at N2500 from the get go when there were no bonuses, it was stressful timing ourselves for it but it was the most affordable and available seeing that the next best i MTN's offerings was mouthwateringly still a far cry at N6000 for the same 3G. Then came the days of the cheat code, there was the avenue to use the nite plan through the day but in some what of a hacked operation, using short codes or tunnels or proxies, this wasnt the way to go for the faint hearted none computer geeks. Then came the NCC intervention with a sanction on all networks to bonus their bundle plans, wow! that gave boom to the vast availability of internet for all with 70% of all the customer bases in all the Nigerian network buying a bundle plan greater than or equal to N1000.

I believe if NCC was on twitter Nigerians can air out their views on quality of service on calls and data and hopefully pressure them ( all the network providers) to serve us better, or even give to use what they take soo easily.
